Ensuring Safety and Reliability in E-Mobility: LANDWORLD's On-Board Charger Endurance Testing

Did you know that the reliability of on-board chargers can significantly impact the safety and efficiency of electric vehicles?

At LANDWORLD, we prioritize vehicle safety as the foundation for advancing the electric vehicle (EV) industry. Our high-quality on-board chargers and DC/DC converters undergo rigorous endurance testing to ensure they meet the highest performance and reliability standards. We adhere to the national standard GB/T 40432-2021 for conductive on-board chargers, reinforcing our commitment to safety.

The Objective: Our endurance testing ensures that our on-board chargers operate reliably over extended periods, even in challenging environmental conditions. This not only enhances product longevity but also ensures the overall safety and stability of the vehicle’s electrical system.

Test Procedure Overview:

  1. Sample Selection: We start with a new, fully functional on-board charger directly from the production line.
  2. Environmental Setup:
    • Ambient Temperature: 85°C
    • Coolant Temperature: 65°C
  3. Operational Conditions: The on-board charger operates at full load for 1800 hours under rated input conditions.
  4. Monitoring:
    • Daily recording of output voltage and current.
    • Continuous monitoring of CAN message transmission status.
    • Verification of normal operation, charging, communication, and display functions.
  5. Post-Test Analysis:
    • Comprehensive electrical performance tests.
    • Airtightness checks.
    • Bolt torque inspections.
    • Detailed teardown analysis.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • The on-board charger must function normally throughout and after testing, with all features operational.
  • Post-test, airtightness and bolt torque must meet standards, with no signs of damage or discoloration on internal PCBs.
Test Results: We are proud to report that our LANDWORLD on-board charger successfully completed the 1800-hour endurance test without any issues. All tested parameters, including output voltage and current, remained within design specifications. Post-test evaluations confirmed the on-board charger’s integrity, showing no faults or deviations from set standards.

At LANDWORLD, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards in our products. By continuously enhancing our technology, we are committed to supporting the transition to e-mobility, ensuring our on-board chargers consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
